- April 6, 2007 op-ed entitled "Global Warming--Not Really a Done Deal?"
Edit note
I amended the par which previously stated that "Paltridge accepted money from the oil industry (also known as "Big Oil") via the industry-funded nonprofit, the Natural Resources Stewardship Project,[8] which listed him as an "allied expert" between February 2007 and January 2008.[9][10]"
The citation, "84 of Inhofe's Global Warming Deniers Have Taken Industry Money", doesn't necessarily establish that Paltridge was funded indirectly by energy interests. We do not know if those listed as "experts" on the NRSP website received any payment or were there in a voluntary capacity.
The cited page only states that "Garth W. Paltridge, PhD, atmospheric physicist, Emeritus Professor and former Director of the Institute of Antarctic and Southern Ocean Studies, University of Tasmania, Australia. Is associated with Big Oil via the industry-funded nonprofit The Natural Resources Stewardship Project. http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Natural_Resources_Stewardship_Project" but provides no direct evidence of funding.
So I have amended the page to simply state what is known.--Bob Burton 21:32, 18 October 2009 (EDT)
