Talk:Green Mountain Energy Company
The customer reviews of Green Mountain Energy that are found at "Sustain Lane" are overwhelmingly negative. They were doing a direct marketing campaign on Labor Day on Broadway and 107th Street, right outside of The Garden of Eden grocery.
Their salesperson was very positive about the unique service and importance of this "trailblazing" clean energy provider. Apparently, they had some kind of a deal to sell clean energy directly to customers using the public utility's infrastructure.
That made me suspicious. Why would they want to sell energy to anyone other than the public utility, unless they were 'only in it for the money?'
The more I look into this organization, the more impressed I am with their extensive greenwashing. What is the connection with Jeb Hensarling, though?
I'm tempted to try to contact the former customers for more detailed reports. Something tells me there are lobbying and legislative secrets behind this company.
Not sure how to proceed to find out about the Wylie and Board Members' lobbying and strategy.
