Je suis italien vivant en Belgique. Je vous remercie d'enfin admettre que la presse aux USA a manqué à toutes ses obligations. Je reste persuadé que la presse américaine reste un pouvoir important qui peut influencer la politique intérieure et extérieure des Etats-Unis. Le moins que l'on puisse dire c'est que vous n'avez pas fait votre travail. Nous ne parlons pas ici de motivations économique liées au marché intérieur américain mais d'une GUERRE avec tout ce que celà implique. Comment pouvez-vous, aujourd'hui, aux yeux du monde, rester crédible ? Vous avez été pendant un an un relai médiatique de la politique de G.W.BUSH et de son administration au lieu d'être un contre pouvoir efficace. Je suis persuadé que si les médias américains avaient fait leur boulot, l'Amérique n'aurait sans doute pas déclenché cette guerre qui apparaît de plus en plus, via votre "mea culpa", comme une guerre "illégale". J'ai toujours eu une haute estime de la presse américaine et de sa volonté d'analyse objective des différents évenements couverts. Je me pose aujourd'hui beaucoup de question sur cette fameuse objectivité. Car le plus inquiètant c'est que tous les médias, sans exception, on travaillé dans le même sens, le sens erroné. Vous allez avoir beaucoup de travail pour redorer votre blason. Je suis certain que vous trouverez quelqu'un qui parle parfaitement le français et qui pourra traduire ce que je vous écris. Un italien vivant en Belgique et parlant français, c'est l'Europe. Vous voyez, nous aussi nous avons nos problèmes. Merci de votre attention.

Thank you for finally admitting that the press in the USA failed to fulfil all its obligations.
I continue to be persuaded that the American press retains a significant capacity to influence the domestic and foreign policy of the United States. The least which one can say is that you did (not do??) your homework. We do not discuss in this country the economic motivations that relate to the American domestic market, but about a WAR with all that must imply. How can you, today, with the eyes of the world watching you, remain credible? You were during one year a media relay of the policy of G.W.Bush and its administration instead of opposing it effectively. I am persuaded that if the American media had done their job, America would not have started this war which appears more and more, via your "mea culpa", like an "illegal" war. I always had a high regard of the American press and its objective analysis of different viewpoints (?? évenements) of the material covered. I am confronted with many questions about this famous objectivity.
This is because the media are so subdued (?? inquiètant) and, without exception, worked as one in the same direction, the erroneous direction.
You will have much work to regain respect (?regild your blazon -- lit. reguild your badge?).
