Unsupported Claim

• "In the same article, the reporter noted that Sproul's wife had been receiving hateful emails telling her she had a "evil husband" and that his business phone lines was being baraged by angry callers."

the claim was referenced to Beth DeFalco, "GOP Operative Under Fire Over Tactics," Associated Press, October 29, 2004. On checking the original story, there is no mention of Sproul's wife or any calls.

• "He is often referred to as a noted GOP Strategist"

this is puff. A passing comment in one article hardly makes him a "noted GOP Strategist"

• "Sproul and Associates had managed an earlier campaign to repeal Arizona's popular Clean Elections system, an effort in which it got 280,000 signatures with 82% validity.

actually, the story does not mention the 82% figure. As the 280,000 figure was already mentioned and referenced to the same story I have deleted it.

• "Arizona Elections Director [Karen] Osborne said her experience with Sproul during his time with the State party showed him to be "an honorable individual"."

couldn't see that in the cited story

• "Sproul has since parted ways with Voters Outreach of America. needs ref"

still no ref after two weeks so moving off the article page.
