NPR gets a strike for irresponsible reporting:

NPR reported a story about an anti-immigration rally in Omaha, Nebraska. The story is also found at the Action 3 News website, www.action3news.com

NPR reported the event as "anti-immigration" omitting entirely, the word "illegal".

A quote from the story reported by Action3News.com clarifies the rally as Anti-Illegal-Immigration.

National Socialist Captain Jim Ludacka tells Action 3 News, the goal of the protest is "to wake up white America to the illegal alien problem that's coming in and taking your job, my job, your son's job and my son's job. Tell the government we've had enough and we're not going to take it anymore." [1]

Bias toward a group generated for other reasons such as racism distorted NPR's report on the event in Omaha. This report demonstrates that bias can cause one to overgeneralize immigration with illegal immigration.

The Action 3 News report acted correctly by only calling the event a rally and letting the quote from Ludacka complete the picture.
