And it would go without saying that, a prolonged U.S. occupation in Iraq would also equate to a prolonged period of military-industrial complex-related profiteering ... after all, who does provide aid and comfort to our troops? Can you say Halliburton and Kellogg Brown and Root ... among others?

.. and, should (alas!) the Bushies no longer occupy the rule of the land after 2004 .... and U.S. troops are still in Iraq (most likely), does that mean all the players return to from whence they came (i.e. Halliburton, et al.) ... and begin collecting the real spoils of war?
