The New Yorker has been published since February 21, 1925.
In 1925 Harold Ross launched The New Yorker o"with financial backing from Raoul Fleischmann, the founder of the General Baking Company. Dorothy Parker, Ralph Barton, Alexander Woollcott, Ring Lardner, and Robert Benchley" counted among the early contributors. [1]
