Fueling U.S. Forward

{{#badges:Koch Exposed|Front groups}} Fueling U.S. Forward is an organization financially backed by Koch Industries to promote the "positives" of fossil fuels. Fueling U.S. Forward was launched [1] in August, 2016 by a longtime oil-industry lobbyist Charles Drevna at the Red State Gathering held in Denver, Colorado.

According to DeSmogBlog.com reporter Sharon Kelly [2], who attended the Red State Gathering, Charles Drevna told the audience that:

“We need a sustainable energy to ensure the future of the country. The source of that energy? Folks, that's of course the fossil fuels.”

.

According to the Fueling U.S. Forward website [3], the organization, "is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the public about the value and potential of American energy, the vast majority of which comes from fossil fuels."

In a Huffington Post article published February 19, 2016, investigative reporter Peter Stone uncovered Koch's new multi-million dollar "assault on the electric vehicle."[4]. According to Stone, the Koch's plan to spend up to $10 million a year on a campaign "to boost petroleum-based transportation fuels and attack government subsidies for electric vehicles." At the time, inside sources told Stone that the initial set up of the campaign was being led by Charles Drevna and Koch Industry board member James Mahoney.
