User talk:R Smith
Hi R Smith, welcome to SourceWatch. I reverted the changes you made to the Beckett Brown International. The protocol at SourceWatch is to post a brief explanatory note on the "Talk" page (accessed by clicking the "discussion" tab) on the reasons for major changes such as deletions. Deleting referenced material is not a "minor" change, so I would ask you to set out the reason for the deletions you proposed and any supporting references. Our interest is ensuring that material contributed by editors is both fair and accurate but not deleted or substantially altered without explanation. With thanks, --Bob Burton 23:43, 28 April 2008 (EDT)
May 4, 2008, to R. Smith. You claim to have first hand knowledge of this firm as someone who worked in it. If that is the case we ask that you use your real name in making any changes, and that you provide substantiation for your claim that the information in this this SourceWatch article, derived from an article published recently in Mother Jones, is inaccurate. Please follow the process which Bob Burton outline above. Feel free to send me an email on this matter; my email address is: John (AT) Prwatch.org.
Hi Again R Smith. I have posted a detailed edit note following your recent changes to the Beckett Brown International page at Talk:Beckett Brown International. I would appreciate it if you could have a look at the changes I have made and the reasons for them and see if we are still in disagreement. With thanks --Bob Burton 23:58, 4 May 2008 (EDT)
Hi again, I have reverted your changes and protected the page so that only sysops can make further edits. I'll post a note on the talk page in a few hours time. --Bob Burton 20:59, 5 May 2008 (EDT)
Once again
Hi R Smith. I have reverted your changes and posted explanatory notes at Talk:Beckett Brown International. As you failed to follow a reasonable request and confine your writing to the talk page, I have protected the article page so that you can't make any further changes to it. You can however post a note to the talk page. As i noted on the talk page, all your changes were entirely unsourced. I would suggest that you read Help:References to familiarise yourself to SourceWatch referencing standards.--Bob Burton 00:30, 6 May 2008 (EDT)
