User talk:Seminatj
Hi Seminatj, welcome to SourceWatch and my apologies for taking a while to drop you a line. I made a few formatting changes to the Nokia page to make the information more consistent with the normal SourceWatch formatting and style. You can see the changes I made by clicking on this link).The key changes were:
- shifting the contact details down to the bottom of the page (just ahead of the "Articles and Resources" section");
- I reformatted most of the references to provide full reference details; Please see SourceWatch:References for the best formatting standards used in SourceWatch;
- there were also a couple of instances where the same reference is repeated; to avoid having to have a long list of references at the foot of the article, there is a way of using the one reference tag and then having all those instances automatically indexed as 1.1, 1.2 etc and saving on pagte space; To see how to do this see here; and
- I also updated and corrected a little of the data, such as the electoral contributions information.
If you have any queries, feel free to drop me a line (bob AT sourcewatch.org). With thanks --Bob Burton 06:19, 3 July 2008 (EDT)
Referencing
Hi Seminatj, I have changed the reference links to the full reference format. However, there were a few where I wasn't sure where the information came from exactly ("Total revenue", "Number of employees worldwide" and the "Company history"). COuld you add the title of the appropriate pages to each of those references. With thanks, --Bob Burton 20:13, 8 July 2008 (EDT)
Also, it is best to include the url that takes readers directly to the page which has the supporting information.
For example, I changed this reference
<ref>[http://siran.org Social Investment Research Analyst Network (SIRAN), 12/07/2005]</ref>
to this
<ref>[http://www.siran.org/projects_eeo_project.php "EEO Project"], Social Investment Research Analyst Network (SIRAN), December 7, 2005.</ref>
You will also note that I added the title of the cited page, had the publisher outside the closing link ] and changed the date to the full month, day and year format. cheers --Bob Burton 21:41, 8 July 2008 (EDT)
