Victor Abramovich
Victor E. Abramovich "is a leading expert in the field of Economic and Social Rights in Latin America. He is Commissioner for the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights of the Organization of American States (OAS) and newly-appointed Special Rapporteur on the Rights of Women. He is the former Executive Director of CELS, the main human rights organization in Argentina (2001 to 2005). He has also served as Board member of CEJIL and of Ecuador’s Center for Economic and Social Rights (CDES). Furthermore, he has worked as consultant for the Inter-American Institute of Human Rights (IIHR) as well as the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB), contributing to a number of publications on economic and social rights. Abramovich received his LLM from American University, where he now participates as visiting professor." [1]
