{{#badges:CoalSwarm|Navbar-Chinacoal}}Xinjiang Kuche Ehuobulake power station (徐矿集团新疆库车俄霍布拉克煤矿坑口电厂) is a proposed 1,320-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power plant in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, China.

It is an extension of the 400 MW Aksu Xuzhou power station.

Background on Project

Xuzhou Coal Mining Co. is currently planning to build a coal-fired power plant with a total planned capacity of 1,320 MW in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.[1][2][3] It is planned for operation in 2017.[4]

The plant was permitted in March 2016.[5]

Nationwide Restrictions Imposed on Development of Coal-Fired Power Capacity

In January 2017 China's National Energy Administration suspended over 100 planned and under-construction coal power projects with a total capacity of over 100GW in 13 provinces, including Xinjiang Kuche Ehuobulake. It is unclear when or if the projects will be revived.[6]
