It is an extension of the 400 MW Aksu Xuzhou power station.

Background on Project
Xuzhou Coal Mining Co. is currently planning to build a coal-fired power plant with a total planned capacity of 1,320 MW in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.[1][2][3] It is planned for operation in 2017.[4]
The plant was permitted in March 2016.[5]
Nationwide Restrictions Imposed on Development of Coal-Fired Power Capacity
In January 2017 China's National Energy Administration suspended over 100 planned and under-construction coal power projects with a total capacity of over 100GW in 13 provinces, including Xinjiang Kuche Ehuobulake. It is unclear when or if the projects will be revived.[6]
