Guangdong Zhongshan power station (粤海控股中山火电厂) is a 600-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power plant in Guangdong Province, China.

Background on Plant

The plant is owned by Guangdong Holdings Limited.[1] [2]The plant's first two units totaling 110 MW, commissioned in 1990, were planned for retirement after units 3-4 were put online, with a total planned capacity of 600 MW. It is a CHP power plant, supplying heat and steam to surrounding enterprises.[3]

The new units were completed in February 2016, and units 1-2 were retired.[4]
