Background

Phase I of Ghugus power station is a 120 megawatt (MW) coal plant under execution in Maharashtra state, India. Phase II of 540 MW is also envisiged by the company at the same location. According to the company, "all the financial and administrative sanctions for the success of the project are in place."[1]
