Pegadapalli (Jaipur Mandal) power station is a 600 MW coal-fired power plant that is being built by Singareni Collieries in Andhra Pradesh, India.

Location

The map below shows the construction site as identified in Wikimapia.[1] This is about 30 km north of the location described in the 2009 Environmental Clearance.[2]

Background

The project was originally permitted as a 600 MW (2 x 300 MW) power station, according to the first Environmental Clearance issued October 28, 2009.[2] In December 2010 a new Environmental Clearance was issued for a 1200 MW (2 x 600 MW) project.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many The projects is under construction.
