Background on Plant

In October 2010 Intos INC., Infinite Computer Solution (India) and Eldeco Housing & Industries Ltd together proposed to invest Rs.30 billion to set up a 600 MW plant in Murka. Creative Thermolite Power Pvt Ltd was formed as a special purpose vehicle (SPV) to implement the project.[1]

The project was expected get commissioned by end of 2014, but has not secured environmental clearance or a coal linkage, and was given an 18-month extension on its terms of reference in December 2013.[1]
