Background on Plant

The two existing coal-fired units of Xingning power station, totaling 270 MW, were brought online in 2006 and 2007; they run on anthracite coal. The plant is owned by China Resources.[2]

Description of Expansion

China Resources is currently planning to build two additional waste coal-fired units at this plant, with a total planned capacity of 600 MW.[2]
