Adam Yauch "is a member of the band the Beastie Boys. He is a practicing Buddhist and actively involved in the Tibetan campaign as founder of the Milarepa Fund, which organized the Tibetan Freedom Concerts. The Tibetan Freedom Concerts are credited with exposing thousands of people to the Tibetan issue and actively engaging them on behalf of the Tibetan people." [1]
He is a director of the International Campaign for Tibet.
