The AfriCat Foundation was founded in 1991 and officially registered as a non-profit organization in 1993. AfriCat has grown significantly since it's beginnings as primarily an animal welfare organization. Over the years, it has branched out to focus on education and research as part of its mission to protect and conserve the carnivores of Namibia. [1]
