Agnes Kalibbala

Agnes Kalibbala became the Chairperson of the International Advisory Board of Global Land Tool Network "at its first meeting held in Nairobi 23 April 2007.

"Currently working as an Ambassador and Deputy High Commissioner of the republic of Uganda to Kenya and holding the portfolio of the Deputy Permanent Representative of Uganda to the United Nation Environment Programme (UNEP) and United Nation Human Settlement Program (UN-HABITAT). She is also the Chair of the Committee of Permanent Representatives to UNEP.

"Formerly worked with Government, inter governmental and non-governmental organizations from 1978-2002 at senior levels in seven African countries. Acquired deep experience in policy development, multi-sectoral programme coordination and management, monitoring and evaluation working extensively with communities on issues related to human settlements and land while at the same time addressing cross cutting issues such as gender mainstreaming.

"Ms. Kalibbala holds a Masters degree in Social Sciences (majoring in Development Studies) from the University of Birmingham, UK plus other postgraduate qualifications in Housing, urban development, environment sustainability and gender mainstreaming from universities in the Netherlands and Uganda. Ms. Kalibbala serves on other international and national advisory boards of organizations working on development issues in Africa." [1]
