The Aksu power station (also known as: Aksuskaya power station) is a 2,450-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power station in Ekibastuz, Kazakhstan.

Background

Aksu is an 8 x 300 MW coal plant commissioned from 1968 to 1975 in Aksu, Pavlodar, Kazakhstan. It is owned by Eurasian Resources Group.

The units are undergoing modernization, and the capacity of units 2 and 6 have been increased to 325 MW, increasing the plant's capacity to 2,450 MW.
