Background on Plant

Kazakhenergo had proposed a 60 megawatt coal plant in Aktobe (formerly Aktyubinsk),[1] but the power project for Aktobe was later proposed to be a 25 to 100 MW natural gas plant, with a feasibility study financed by the US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) in 2014.[2]
