Ali Noroozi

Ali Noroozi is the current Inspector-General of Taxation for the Australian Government Tax Office, a position in which he has served since September, 2008.[1]
Prior to his appointment, Mr Noroozi "had gained over 15 years experience in Australian and International taxation. He has worked for approximately 12 years at major accounting and law firms, namely: Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, Ernst & Young, Minter Ellison and Linklaters. He has also worked for almost 5 years as the Tax Counsel at the Institute of Chartered Accountants."[2]
Mr Noroozi is a qualified engineer and lawyer. He also has a Masters of Laws degree in taxation from the University of Sydney[3], and is a member of the Baha'i Faith.[4]
