Andre Kamenshikov "has over 13 years of "hands on" experience in peacebuilding in post-soviet conflict zones. He is the the regional representative of Washington-based Nonviolence International in the countries of the former USSR. He is also founder of Nonviolence International (CIS) a Moscow - based NGO, involved in practical conflict management and humanitarian activities in different "hot spots" of the post-soviet space, especially the North Caucasus, where his organization has worked for many years with a network of local NGOs. Since 1999 he is also a member of the Coordinating Council of the CIS-wide NGO Working Group on Conflict Management and Prevention, a network that includes over 70 organizations from Belarus to Tajikistan. In 2003 Andre Kamenshikov became a regional initiator of the GPPAC process in the region of West CIS / East Europe (including the western part of Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus and some organizations from Bulgaria and Romania) and he also actively took part in the GPPAC regional process in the Caucasus."
