Andrew Lubin
Andrew Lubin, of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, blogs and is the contributing editor at U.S. Cavalry ON Point and, as such, participates in the U.S. Department of Defense's Bloggers' Roundtable. "In addition, he manages an international consulting business with offices in Shanghai, Bucharest and the U.S."[1]
Lubin describes himself as "an internationally recognized writer, college professor, [who] has 30+ years of hands-on experience in logistics, international relations, national security, and international trade".[2] Lubin "holds an MBA in international management from the American Graduate School of International Management and a bachelor of arts in political science from Allegheny College."[3]
Lubin is "an adjunct faculty member within the Department of Business Administration" at American Military University in Charles Town, West Virginia,[1] an online university,[3] "where he currently teaches a variety of undergraduate logistics management courses."[4]
In July 2006 Lubin was embedded with the Marines of the 24 Marine Expeditionary Unit in Beirut, Lebanon, "reporting on the emergency evacuation of Americans from this war-torn county." In October 2006, Lubin "traveled to Iraq, where he reported on the Marines of Regimental Combat Team-5 from Ramadi, Fallujah, and Habbaniyah for www.uscavonpoint.com and the Bucks County Courier Times."[2]
In 2004, Lubin was awarded a grant by the USMC Historical Foundation to "research and write a battle study of the Marine action at An-Nasiryah, March 2003." Lubin is the author of Charlie Battery; A Marine Artillery Unit in Iraq (PSI Research, ISBN 9781555716424), which was the "Winner of the Military Writers Society of America 2007 Gold Medal for military non-fiction!"[1] His book Keep Moving or Die; Task Force Tarawa at An-Nasiriyah "has a probable publication date of mid-2007."[2]
