"Dr. Andrew Robert Fowell Buxton, CMG served as the Chief Executive Officer of Barclays Bank PLC. Dr. Buxton served as the President of the British Bankers Association from 1998 to 2002. Mr. Buxton is a Visiting Professor at the City University Dr. Buxton was honored in Queen's Birthday Honours in June 2003 when he was made a Companion of Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and St. George (CMG). Dr. Buxton holds a Masters Degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from Oxford University. He has also been awarded an honorary Doctor of Science from the City University, London, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers."
