Anlong power station (安龙煤电化一体化产业基地热电联产) is a proposed 725-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power plant in Guizhou Province, China.

Location

The map below shows the location where the power station was first reported to begin construction near Lugoutang Village (鲁沟塘村), Puping Town, Anlong County, Qianxinan AP. As of April 2018, this appears to be the actual construction site.

Background on Project

Guizhou Anlong County Xinyu Resources Development Co is a local energy company who is the sponsor of a coal-fired power station of two 350 MW units in Anlong County. The proposed power plant will be a co-generation power plant, supplying electricity, heat and steam to a proposed chemical project. The power plant received a permit for construction from the provincial DRC in December 31, 2014. The construction reportedly started in November 2016 with a ceremony at Lugoutang Village, Puping Town, Anlong County.

In June 2017, a ceremony for celebrating the start of the construction was held again. Between the two ceremonies, the sponsor of the power plant completed its preliminary design review. The location also shifted to Xinzhai Village, Puping Town, Anlong County, 15 miles away by straight-line distance. The project would include a 25 MW back-up unit. The estimated investment in this power plant is ¥3.1 billion.

However, satellite images from 2017-2018 show the construction site is at the first location, Lugoutang Village, Puping Town. As of April 2018, the construction is slowly ongoing.
