Background on Plant
The Apatitskaya CHPP power station is owned by Fortum and Gazprom. It is a combined heat and power plant (CHPP); the plant produces 230 MW. The plant’s eight units were brought online between 1959 and 1964.[1][2][3]
Units 2 and 5 were retired in 2013. Unit 1 was retired in 2016.[4]
