Ariel Salleh
Dr. Ariel Salleh (Australia) "has activist experience in biodiversity and water politics, and hands-on experience in autonomous care giving labour. She is the author of Ecofeminism as Politics (London: Zed Books & New York: St Martins, 1997) and many essays in environmental ethics and radical political ecology. Formerly Associate Professor in Social Ecology at the University of Western Sydney, Australia, she has lectured on ecofeminism in North and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Oceania. Ariel has a particular interest in the alternative globalization movement and in developing alliances between womens, workers, indigenous and ecological politics. She is an ecofeminist editor of the international journal Capitalism Nature Socialism, and she served on the Australian Federal Government's Gene Technology Ethics Committee from 2001-2004." [1]
