Ariel Sharon (Hebrew: אריאל שרון), a member of the Likud party, has served as Israeli Prime Minister in the Knesset since 2001. "He has formerly served as Foreign Minister, National Infrastructure Minister, Housing Minister, Defence Minister and Agriculture Minister. A former Major General, he led Israel's daring crossing of the Suez Canal that surrounded and defeated the Egyptian army in the 1973 Yom Kippur War." [1]

Connections

According to the Political Friendster, President George W. Bush is counted as one of Sharon's "friends" because "Israel is the sole Ally of the US in the Middle East." The late Yassir Arafat is also counted as a "friend" as "Sharon and Arafat lead the opposing sides of the Middle-East debate." [2]
