While the company currently has only 191 megawatts of operating coal-fired thermal plnats, it has ambitious plans to build a further 3,700MW of coal-fired capacity. On its website the company states that it has "2,400 MW of generating capacity under various stages of implementation; and 1,320 MW of generating capacity under planning spread across India."[1]

Proposed coal project

Avantha Power and Infrastructure currently has proposals for three major coal-fired power stations. These are:[2]
