Bellara power station also known as Jijel Combined Cycle Power Plant is a 1,400-megawatt (MW) gas-fired power plant under construction (as of Nov. 2019) in Jijel Province, Algeria.[1][2]

Background

Hyundai won the combined cycle power plant contract, beginning the project in 2014.[3] In October of 2018, Move it Magazine reported that the power plant "should be fully operational by the end of this year."[2] However, the African Power Platform list the project as "Under construction" while Zawya labels it "delayed"[1]Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many
