In the deposition of consulting toxicologist Richard D Thomas he reveals that Bioresponse Systems Ltd. is a Canadian spin-off from his family company of Thomas & Thomas Technologies.

It also has another spin-off called the International Center for Environmental Technology, which is also known as Intercet Ltd. Bioresponse Systems Ltd, manages Superfund type hazardous waste sites. It was created around 1988-89.
