It was retired in 2015.

Background on Plant

Borssele power station was a one-unit coal-fired power plant with a total capacity of 426 MW. The plant was completed in 1987, and owned by EPZ, a 70:30 JV of Delta NV and RWE. The companies began co-combusting biomass at Borsselle-12 in 2000. A biomass contribution of up to 20% was reached before the end of subsidies and the generator reverted to almost complete coal-firing by 2014. The coal-fired set was closed on 25 Nov 2015 as it was not upgraded to current air-quality regulations.
