Bradley coal mine is a proposed coal mine in County Durham. The proposed mine is being promoted by UK Coal.

Background
UK Coal have proposed to mine 550,000 tonnes of coal between 2013 and 2016. On its website the company states that "our application for planning consent was recommended for approval by the Planning Officer at Durham County Council. It was however turned down by the Council’s Planning Committee. After a Public Inquiry the application was refused and we are now appealing to the High Court."[1]
