Background

The Farge A plant was founded in 1922 and eventually became 150 MW. The old units were demolished from 1985-1990. The new Farge plant, also known as Farge 301, is a 350 MW unit that began operating in 1969. It was transferred to GDF SUEZ (now known as Engie) from E.ON in 2009.
