Brian Kennedy (Republican candidate)

Brian Kennedy is a Republican operative and lobbyist. He has worked for the DCI Group and is connected to the Republican organization Progress for America. Kennedy is a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa.

In April 2005, he announced his candidacy for Iowa's 1st Congressional District. The Eldridge, Iowa, North Scott Press reported, that Kennedy has served "as an advisor or campaign manager to former Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad and U.S. Sens. Lamar Alexander and Elizabeth Dole, among others. Active in the Republican Party for many years, Kennedy was a member of the Republican National Committee and co-chairman of the Republican National Convention Platform Committee. He also founded Progress for America, a national grassroots issue advocacy organization working to support President Bush's legislative agenda."
