Business Ethics
Business Ethics was a magazine focussing on corporate ethics and corporate social responsibility. Founded in 1987 and edited by Marjorie Kelly the quarterly magazine grew to have a circulation of approximately 10,000 readers. [1]
In January 2005 Kelly's company, Mavis Publications sold Business Ethics to Mountain Media, a company owned by Michael Connor. Initially Connor was Publisher and Executive Editor with Kelly continuing on as Editor. [2]
With the Spring 2006 edition Kelly announced that she had resigned as editor to take up a position at the Tellus Institute in Boston, "where I'm co-founding a new project called Corporation 20/20." [3] She noted that from that editon she would write occasionally for the magazine and be a "consulting editor."
In July 2006, Connor announced that it was "merging into The CRO, a new corporate membership organization for Corporate Responsibility Officers." [4] Connor described the end of Business Ethics magazine as reflecting "the mainstreaming of the corporate responsibility movement." [5]
