CPI Linhe power station (国家电投宁夏能源铝业临河电厂一期) is a 1,050-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power plant in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, China.

Background on Plant

The first two units of the power station, 2 x 350 MW, began operating in 2011. The plant is owned by CPI Ningxia Energy Aluminum.

A third unit of 350 MW was commissioned in 2015.

The three units were commissioned without receiving the necessary permits for construction.

Ownership

In July 2015, China Power Investment Corporation (CPI) and State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation (SNPTC) merged to become State Power Investment Corporation (国家电力投资集团), one of the five largest state-owned electricity producers in the People's Republic of China.
