CPI Xing’an Meng Wulanhaote power station (国家电投新安盟乌兰浩特发电项目) is a proposed 2,000-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power plant in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China.

Background on Project

In 2012 it was reported that CPI was planning to build a coal-fired power plant with a total planned capacity of 2,000 MW in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The project appeared in China's 12th five-year plan (2011-2015).

However, there has been no news on progress since the announcement, and the project appears to be abandoned.

Ownership

In July 2015, China Power Investment Corporation (CPI) and State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation (SNPTC) merged to become State Power Investment Corporation (国家电力投资集团), one of the five largest state-owned electricity producers in the People's Republic of China.
