Charles B. Heck
Charles Heck "was a Visiting Professor at Principia in the spring quarter of 2005 and joined the regular faculty in the spring quarter of 2006. He brings to his post a rich background in international affairs, particularly from his twenty-seven years on the staff of the Trilateral Commission. Among other staff roles, he served as editor of more than fifty Trilateral Commission task force reports. He joined the Trilateral staff in 1974 as Assistant to Zbigniew Brzezinski, the Commission’s first Director.
"Prior to joining the Trilateral staff, Mr. Heck worked for the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and as a Teaching Fellow at Yale. In recent years he has also been active on behalf of the Council for a Community of Democracies (CCD), a Washington-based NGO that works to advance the Community of Democracies movement that began with the June 2000 “Towards a Community of Democracies” conference in Warsaw involving over 100 governments and a wide range of civil society organizations. Mr. Heck is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, American Council on Germany, Japan Society, and United Nations Association of the United States." [1]
