Charles Krauthammer
Charles Krauthammer[1] "received his M.D. from Harvard Medical School and practiced as Chief Resident in Psychiatry at the Massachusetts General Hospital from 1975 to 1978. In 1978 he came to Washington to serve as a science advisor in the James Earl Carter, Jr. Administration [to help plan psychological research]] and, later, speechwriter to Vice President Walter Mondale. He was a writer and editor for The New Republic from 1981 to 1988 and in the mid 1980s, began writing a weekly syndicated column for The Washington Post and a monthly essay for Time magazine.
"Dr. Krauthammer won a Pulitzer Prize for Distinguished Commentary and a National Magazine Award for Essays and Criticism. A collection of his essays and columns, Cutting Edge, was published in 1985. He is a regular weekly panelist on Inside Washington, a contributing editor to The New Republic and The Weekly Standard and serves on the editorial board of several journals, including the National Interest and the Public Interest magazines."
Krauthammer is considered to be a "neo-con" (neo-conservative). He is a member of the Board of the George C. Marshall Institute.
