Cherokee Tepko power station is a proposed 250-megawatt (MW) gas-fired power plant in the state of South Australia, Australia.[1]

Background
Planning for a new 250MW gas-fired power plant began in 2010.[2]
In April 2017, an unnamed developer representing the Cherokee Tepko power station put in a bid for construction of a new gas-fired power plant with the South Australian government.[3] Speculation led some to think Tepko would win,[1] but South Australia's budget does not mention new construction anywhere.[4] The project appears to be shelved.
