The Chogoku Air Water Yamaguchi co-fire power station, also known as the Hofu plant, is a proposed 112-megawatt (MW) co-fired coal and biomass power station in Yamaguchi prefecture, Japan.

Background on Plant
The coal-fired power station is proposed by Chugoku Power Company and Air Water Corporation.[1]
Description of Expansion
According to a September 2014 press release by Chugoku Electric, the project is 112 MW, co-fired with biomass and coal.[2] The power station is planned for operation in 2018-2019.[3][4]
Construction was scheduled to start in June 2017, and commercial operation in June 2019.[5] According to the Kiko Network the plant became operational on July 22, 2019.[6]
