In 2013, the following proposed coal plants were canceled, abandoned, or put on hold:
- White Stallion Energy Center - Texas - 1320 MW
- Trailblazer Energy Center - Texas - 765 MW
- Taylorville Energy Center - Illinois - 630 MW
