Professor Sir Colin Berry is professor of morbid anatomy and histopathology at Queen Mary, University of London. He is a prominent critic of the precautionary principle, a biotechnology enthusiast.
"He served as Warden of the new School of St. Bartholomew's and the London Hospital Medical and Dental Colleges from 1994 to 1996, and before that, was Dean of the London Hospital Medical College. He has served on advisory committees on health and related matters, and he has published more than 200 papers on development, vascular biomechanics and toxicology. He was knighted in 1993 for services to the sciences; that same year he was also elected to the German Academy of Sciences," a University of Guelph media release stated. [1]
