"Stroud Common Wealth ran a two year (2005-2007) cutting edge action research project to enable the development and establishment of Community Farm Land Trusts.
"Carnigie UK Trust The project was part funded by the Carnegie UK Trust as part of its commitment to asset based rural community development .
"The project investigated how existing community owned farm land trusts operate and pooled this experience. It evaluated the range of benefits for communities involved, identified best practise and compiled the practical experience as an online toolkit.
"This resource will aid the establishment of new Community Farm Land Trusts that build sustainable rural communities and enable continued affordable access for farmers.
