The plant was retired on September 30, 2019.[1]

Background

The 4 x 500 MW subcritical power station was first commissioned in 1969-1970.[2]

On February 7, 2019, plant owner EDF Energy said it had decided to end generation at its Cottam coal-fired power station on 30 September 2019.[3]
