Croatia, once part of the former Yugoslavia, is a southeastern European country, across the the Adriatic Sea from Italy, with a population of 4.6 million and capital city of Zagreb. [1]

Media
The BBC says of the country's media:
- Croatia's media now operate in a climate of relative freedom following the restrictions of the Tudjman era. The constitution bans censorship and guarantees press freedom. Public TV is the main source of news and information for most Croatians. National commercial networks and dozens of private local TV stations compete for viewers.[1]
