Crown Holdings Incorporated, formerly Crown Cork & Seal Company, is an American company producing packaging. Founded in 1892, it is currently headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The company has emerged as the world’s leading packaging company, and as of 2008, was operating 154 plants in 42 countries, employing over 24,000 people. It claims to manufacture one out of every five beverage cans used in the world, and one out of every three food cans used in North America and Europe.

Its CEO is John W. Conway. The company had approximately $7.9 billion in revenue in the 2010 financial year. [1]

Ties to the American Legislative Exchange Council

Crown was a "Director's"-level sponsor of ALEC's 2016 Annual Conference.[2]

Crown Cork & Seal Company was a member of ALEC’s Civil Justice Task Force, represented by Richard Krzyzanowski, General Counsel/Emeritus, and William T. Gallagher, Esq., General Counsel. Gallagher attended ALEC's 2010 Annual Meeting.[3]
